The Batsu are a group of NPCs that live in the Northern Wilderness, not far from the entrance.
Appearance[]
The Batsu are plantlike creatures that each have one red eye. They resemble the surrounding vegetation in the wilderness, which appear to be fiddleheads. The Batsu bounce up and down, almost as if dancing.
Interaction[]
Interacting with the Batsu doesn't cause anything to happen. Nonetheless, they display the standard reactions to the Knife and Stoplight effects, but do not react to the Cat effect, due to their lack of tile movement.
Trivia[]
- Batsu (ばつ), depending on the kanji used, can mean many different things, including "penalty," "clan," "circumstances," "punishment," or "epilogue." In the form of an "×," it can also refer to an incorrect answer.
Batsu seem to be based on fiddleheads, which are rolled up fern fronds. In Japan, fiddleheads from bracken ferns are prized vegetables.
